Typical dishes and Gastronomy

Colombia's cuisine is characterized by the variety of regional dishes as well as different types of international cuisine offered by many restaurants in the city.


Gastronomy is another of the strengths of this city. Visitors can enjoy dishes like the soup "melting pot" and pout freaking santafereño, and desserts such as obleas and cuajada de melao. Some of the typical places to enjoy the culinary habits of Bogota are la Puerta falsa and Florida, where you can taste the chocolate santafereño.

One of the delights in the mouth of Bogota are the desserts. Thousands of tourists enjoy them. Colombia has a large variety, which are brought from different regions of the country, it is common to find in stores at all typical sweets or desserts like; the Cocadas, fresh fruit, jams, sweets with syrup, short Arequipa merengón, custard, pudding, cookies sandwiches, as well as special desserts combined with fruits, chocolates, ice cream.
